BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY
An enthusiastic audience greeted ' the first concert of the 1935 season at the rooms of the British Sailors' Society on ■Thursday evening. The programme was arranged by Miss Dorothy Seymour, and consisted ;of vocal numbers, character sketches,.piano items, and sketches. Every item was -.encored,- the performers having to",respqncl s'agaih and rigain. Items were contributed1 by. Misses Arcus, Cbttrell, Zena 'Gdldsteiii^ Thomson, Beryl Russell, Phyllis -Solly,'- 'Kitty and • Betty Capper, Phyllis: Powell, Meryl, Joy, and Beryl Q'Neill, Pat and Pearl Powell, Pat Snelgro've, and Miss Violet Roberts, ■. ,and Messrs. Tommy Petherock and Douglas Hogg. 'Miss Dorothy Spinks was the accompanist. At the conclusion' a vote of thanks to Miss Seymour and party was carried with acclamation, and supper was served. ' .
