WELLINGTON DISTRICT

The following teachers from the ..Wellington Education ■ District have left to take up duty under the scheme lor interchange of teachers between New Zealand and Great Britain and the Dominions:— Miss Lilian Mitchell, of the Hutt Valley High School) who is exchanging with Miss Dorothy Beale, of the County High School, Homford, England. Miss Beale will join the staff of the Hutt Valley High School next week. Miss Ruby O. Milnes, of the Levin District High School, who is exchanging with Miss S. D. Toerien, of the Mitchell Road School, Durban, South Africa. Miss Toerien is teaching at the Brooklyn School, Wellington. Mr. Gilbert A, Read, of the Eastern .Hutt Public School, who is exchanging with Mr. W. J. E. Patten, from Queensland. Mr. Patten is teaching at the Eastern Hutt School. '• Miss Mary A. Browne, of the Taita Public School, who is exchanging with Miss L. M, Cummings, from New South Wales. MissCummings will be teaching at;the Thprndon Normal School. The following teachers have recently returned td Wellington after having _ served their period of exchange abroad: —Mr. John L. Ewing, of the i- Karori West Public School; Miss Netta McKiftrick, of the Worser Bay Public School; Mr. M. S. Pitkowsky, of the Upper Hutt Public School.
