The Dunedin Jockey Club lwa been granted permission by the .New Zealand Racing Conference to conduct tho betting at its Cup Meeting. next week on the same system (75-25 per cent, ami placo pools) as that opciatcd at Forbury Park 1 last week.
Although.such permission has been conceded the Dunediu Club has been advised that it is only for the one meeting. lv oiiicial quarters the liberties that aye at present being, tnkeu by '.some clubs -with the rules of totalisator betting are viewed with grave concern, and it may not be long before a drastic curtailment in the present rules is made. : : , ,"'.
