F."E , Matthews reported on the picnic commit tee. The Arch Druid reported' on a'visit to Excelsior Lodge. An official visit was Paid by P.D.P. Bro.'Abel and'Bro. Ketko (Paci6c Lodge). Bro. Abel referred to the coming -visit by Nelson' Druids "at Easter time. He also gave an" enlightening, address on Druidical matters. The Arch Druid welcomed the visitors. Cards were indulged.in at,the end of business. Pacific Lodge.-A.D. Bro. Alabaster presided, over a good attendance. It was decided to attend officially at the next meetings of Coronation and Holly Lodges. One proposition for membership was received, and one candidate was initiated. Next meeting the lodge will compete with Loyal w 1*?! Branch, G.U.O O.l<\, for the W.U.F.S. Council's "500" shield. Bros Bray and H-all attended from the Koyai Arch Chapter-and judged the lodge for the ritual shield, The vote of thanks to visitors was lesponded to by Bro. Bray (Royal Arch Chapter), Bro. Rheubenstem (Pride of Brooklyn Lodge), and Bro. Bigcall (Tinfaru Lodge). . 1.0.0. F. ti\z. Maraenui Lodge.—Bro. Binns, N.G., was the presiding'officer. One brother was reported sick. , A y candidate wa<3 initiated. Tt was decided to hold a dance at the close of the next meeting. There was considerable discussion on the ritual work'of'the lodge, and jt was decided to tako steps to improve.this phase of the lodge's activities. " ■ ' ' Port Nicholson Encampment.—Bro. R. J. 'Slathers, C.P., presided over a go.od attendance. The annual balance-sheet was adopted. The installation of 6/liceri. was carried out by Bro. Riulkin, G.W., P.C.P., assisted by Bro. Two.candidates were initiated. ■ Iwo proposals for membershin were received. The syllabus for the new I handbook was adopted. The D.D.GM liJro. R. Mathers, and suite, Bro. G. RudIkin, aW Bros IT. Jones, P. Lee, Valentme, i J.tr.M., and members of Kupe, Zealandia, and kindted lodges were admitted l^nd assisted in the work of initiation iiro. Mathers took the opportunity of presentjng the -100 yards championship cup to Bro. G. Olsen, and the tug-of-war sliield won at the recent annual picnic by members of the lodge. Bros. Valentine, Rudkni, Jones, and the N.G.s of respective' lodges responded to the vote of welcome conveying fraternal greetings. Cards concluded a successful evening. Muritai Lodge—Bro. A. Stewart, N.G., presided over an interesting meeting Bro.-Bargh,-D.D:Ci-.M. of the Hutt Valley, was present. Arrangements were made for a social evening ou the second meeting in February, to which invitations ate to be extended Hutt Valley and sißter lodges. Arrangements were also made for the conduct of future meetings. ' , 0 Kiwi Iti Rebekah Lodge.—Sister Westrup, N.G., .presided over a good attendance. It was decided to play Heretaunga Lodge for the "500" shield and Ngati-awa Lodge for the cribbage shield, bister Waters (Christchurch) was accorded a welcome. She conveyed greetings from her lodge. One candidate was proposed. Business concluded, an enjoyable evening ended with harmony.
FQRESTERS. .Court Sir' George Grey.—Bro. T. Westwood presided over a fair attendance. The Woodwards reptfrted that four brothers had declared on the funds and one off since the previous meeting. Bro. Westwood, delegate" to, tho Medical Institute and tthe.Dispensary, reported on various undertakings. Ant invitation from Court Lady Glasgow .for, members and visiting delegates to the district annual meeting to attend a social evening was accepted. A visit for a social evening was paid by members of Court Lady Glasgow, Bro. Westwood welcoming- the visitors on bchrtlf- of the court. 'Sitter J. KivelJ replied on behalf of visitors, after which a pleasant evening was spent at bowls nnd cards. Bro. If. G. Key entertained at the piano.
