OBITUARY

MR. JAMES WOODS

The death occurred at the residence of Mrs. Davidson, 8 Ranfurly Street, Palmerston North, on Tuesday, of a well-known former resident of Foxton, Mr. James Woods, aged 78 years. Mr. Woods came from Ireland, where he was born, arriving in New, Zealand fifty years ago. He-was for a time employed in Wellington, and after severing his connection there spent fifteen years at Ashhurst and then proceeded to Foxton, where he resided until within a short time of his death. He never married, and was of a quiet and retiring disposition.

The funeral took place at Foxton on Wednesday.
