COMMENT BY "THE TIMES"
• The Government has received the following telegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:—
"The Times'.';has leading article on Government's, National Mortgage Corporation proposals. Referring to committee's recent criticism it says position of rural farmers cannot be left where it is.and; some action is necessary.. Further, it observes that similar action is being taken by the Canadian Parliament as part of Bennett's new deal and is supported by all parties. Also in Australia Government has promised to use national credit to help farmers on similar lines. Article concludes by stating problem in all three Dominions is the same and that all three Dominions are resorting to similar methods in the endeavour to solve iU ~
