:".. Mr. Arthur Henderson, addressing the British • Commonwealth League, said that he discerned evidences that public opinion had hotr abandoned the hope of results at Geneva. ;
He was receiving. encouraging evidence from many quarters, vindicating a distinctly better outlook for disarmament which' more deeply impregnated the world's national consciousness than ever, auguring success to one of the greatest experiments in human history. : The result "of the Security' Committee's work might be applicable at any moment." The Disarmament Conference was; not dead and would notbe permitted to <siie.
