Pressure has risen over the central and southern portions of the Dominion and to ths eastward, aa anticyclone of considerable Intensity -being now centred east of the South Island. North-easterly winds prevail in the far south, but elsewhere moderate to strong south to south-east. Temperatures have fallen somewhat, and there have been scattered, but for the most part light, rains.
