HIGHER ALLOWANCES
TO COST MILLION EXTRA
UNIFORM PAYMENT FAILS

LONDON, ; February 6.
Increased unemployment allowances were announced by the- Minister •of Labour, Mr. Stanley, in the House of Commons. They^involve an additional expenditure of £1,000,000 requiring Parliamentary approval--The attempt at uniformity of payment thioughout the country has collapsed.
