The result of the first croquet Test, England 'v. New Zealand, depends on the outcome of the last doubles match, which was unfinished today owing to rain.
The singles match unfinished oil Friday was completed today, Pouiter (England) defeating Mrs. Caldow (New' Zealand).
Progress totals are: Singles, England, three rubbers, seven games, 288 points; New Zealand, two■, rubbers, , seven games, 249 points.
New ; Zealand-began today by winning the first doubles, Hartnell and Mrs. Corbett- defeating Petley , and Poulter..: The second doubles between Mrs. Caldow and Stratton and Dv Pre and Wemyss was interrupted by rain and will be completed, on Monday.
