OAMARU, .February 3. North Otago defeated South Canterbury in the annual match for the Murray Bowl Trophy by 200 points to 172. The match was played under perfect weather and green conditions, North Otago winning six of the eight rinks engaged. This makes the two centres even in the competition with 4 wins each.
