An interesting letter was received by the Wellington Centre of tho New Zealand Red Cross Society at its meeting on Friday from Galina Bogatiroff, the Russian girl "who was assisted to New Zealand by tho society. The letter conT'eyed greetings to the centre, and a copy of the girl's school progress card was enclosed. The chairman (Mr. C. 11. Chapman, M.P.) said that the child's progress had been most satisfactory. At the May term she- had gained 18j iriarks out of 400, and at the December term 251 out of 400, passing 22nd in a class of 44. In her letter Ihe child vrishod to thank all tliofo who had helped in her return from Russia to.her parents. She stated that sue was quite at home and very happy in her adopted country.
