Tho "National ,Baby ■ Week" campaign has come totfe.fore again, and it is hopod that New Zealand wll eater the lista with many other coup tries for tli'j TJOfsHc-Ssioß of the. beautiful silver shield (donated iby tto "News of tho Woilct1') for competition in any part, except within the United Kingdom. Curiously enough, the winners of this shield in far, with one exception, have been societies existing in the very hot parts of tho world. They are Bellary (Madras Presidency), Benoni (Trans. vaal), KalutaTu (Ceylon), Panadura (Ceylon), Mombasa (Konya Colony), Western Australia, Mysore (India), and Calgary (Canada). Entrios for this year must reach the "National Baby Week" Council, 117 Piccadilly, London Wl, England, on or beforo June 1 ths year, an extension being granted of two weeks for Australia, New Zealand, or other places which are so placed as to involve a five weeks' or more mail transmission to England. The patron of the effort is hor Majesty Queen Mary, arid the -president tho Prime Minister of England; tho chairman is Sir J. Gomcr Barry, and the vice-chairman Viscountess Khondda. Naturally, in Now Zealand, the people to carry put the "Ba.by.Week" activities would be tho Phinkct Society.
