A not profit, o£ £27,347 18s 4d is clisclosed in the balance-sheet of tho Christchurch Gas, Coal, and Coke Company, Ltd for the year .ended December 31, 1034, compared with £21,459 last year. The directors' report slntes that sales' of gos amounted to 435,046,000 cubic feet, an increase of 7.283,000 cubic feet, or 1.74 per cent. The debenture issue of £100,000 maturing on November 1 has been repaid. - The directors recommend a dividend of 3 per cent., which, with the interim dividend already paid, makes 6 per cent, for the year. This will absorb £21,456. The directors recommend placing to reserve fund £2774, to renewal fund £2000, ahdj to carry forward £0259 15s 2d.
