GLADIOLI OF QUALITY
The Brooklyn Horticultural Soueij held its summer show ou Saturday. The en(.nct.. -which exceeded in number thohe ol the last summer &how, included a kryc number of gladioli; The president, Mr. 11. JJeavis, in the course of his addicss, made special mention of the high quality of tiie gladioli, and said great credit was due to the growers for their efforts during such a particulaily difficult beason. The champion bloom was> a "Li&botli," exhibited by Mrs. Askwith. Mr. llice was the most successful competitor, obtaining the president's trophy for most points in the show.
