FAITH-HEALING
THE MAILLARD MISSION SUFFERERS' TRIBUTE LONDON, January 26. Although there were no miraculous cures, no crutches thrown away, and no spectacular emotional incidents during tho faith-healing services, many among the 200 sufferers from paralysis, j arthritis, and other malignant diseases and mental disorders declare that the Eov. John Maillard's laying-on of hands at St. Stephen's, Brighton, "electrified" them like a surge of new life, giving a peace and power not previously folt. All declare that they have been greatly helped. The suppliants were mostly women, many so crippled that they were unable to kneel at tho altar rails. Mr. Maillard possesses letters from cured people, ono of whom was bedridden for two years with arthritis. Another was. cured of cancer in five weeks, and a third cured of a tumour on the brain. Mr. Maillard makes no extravagant claims. He said in an interview: "Most of the sufferers we minister to are under their own doctors, and j the medical treatment they have prescribed continues. "Where medical skill alone is brought to bear, sufferers often fail to regain their health because they lack peace of mind. That necessary peace of mind can be given by tho Church's ministry of healing; ".Every day I hear of remarkable results obtained through "this ministry."
