CRICKET PRESENTATION
Nearly twenty years of service and association with the Kilbirnie Cricket Club were recognised on Saturday afternoon before the start of the Kilbirnie-Univer-sity match, when the Rev. Canon Syke's received a presentation from Mr. W. J. Gaudin, patron of the club. Canon Sykes is shortly transferring to .the Manaia parish, Taranaki, where he expects to continue his connection with cricketing affairs. He has been a vice-president of'the .Kilbirnie Club for many year*.
