Mosley, S.M., today dismissed a charge brought against Charles Arthur Orr, aged 42, a bus proprietor of Oamaru, that ho had | been intoxicated while in charge of the vehicle. j The evidence showed that tho dei fondant and three companions came to 1 the city from tho south, and that all took turns in driving, but that a man jinmod Douglas Lawrence drove , into Christehurch. The defendant was sitting in the front seat, but on the lefthand side when the car was, seen in Manchester Street. According to the 1 police he was intoxicated. ■ The Magistrate said that he was satisfied that the defendant was intoxicated, but that he was not in charge of a mechanical1 portion of tho car.
