(By Telegraph—l'rew AMociation.l LEVIN, This Day. Owen McEncany, a single man, aged Ql, employed-in the flax industry, was drowned in tho Manawatu River, at Koputai-oa on. Saturday night. He was camping on the bank of the river, and went to get water. Three men nearby heard tho deceased call, but on going to the spot saw him disappear. Dragging operations during the weekend were unsuccessful. The deceased was a returned soldier, and was highly respected.
