(Special to the ''Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. When Black Duke won the hurdles yesterday he was completing his 189 th race. He is now twelve years old 'and has won, 41 races. He has been second in 24, third in 21, and unplaced in 103. His total, stake winnings now. amount /to £7836 10s.'

SUCCESSES AT ELLERSLIE

This yearrg Auckland Cup winner Gol.l Trail has registered some of her best performances at .Ellerslie, where as a two-year-old she started four times at tho | Summer Meeting to run a second, a third, and two fourths. She contested the Auckland Cup two years ago as a three-year-old, finishing sixth, and last year she was also a runner but bled and had to be eased up. ; .'
