The piospects of an Austialjan i-iew taking pait in the >>e\v Zealand loving championships on the Whau I'stuaiy, at Auckland, on Maich 2, 1033, appeal blight, 'iccoiding to a repoit sabimt-j ted to the Auckland Bowing Association. Two membeis of tho Auckland o\.eca*i\c recently endeavoured to inteiest Australian oaismen in the regatta. In consequence the Aew Zealand Council has been requested to send foimal invitations to the lowing associations of Xew South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, West Austialia, Queensland,' and Tasmania. In approaching the vaiious Australian clubs, which wero at all likely to have a Biiflicicntly stiong ciew, states an Auckland report, it was emphasised that the crew's would be accommodated iioo of all expense, that each' clew woilld bo subsidised to the extent of £.10 in other expenses: thai nominations would be paid; that tlie winning and socond cicws in all events would receive a cash donation tow-aids their own club lunds, and that the maitei ot a co\".swam und, in all piobnluhfy of a boat, if icquiied, could be satistactoiilv airanged.1 Several leading clubs weie approached, including Berii, a South Australian clii"b, which wot flic stcwaids' iouis i* Henlry m 1933 and l c>34. The crew, which has won convincingly on each occasion, has lowed together tor four years.
