RESULTS IN DETAIL

THE TOTALISATOR FIGURES

• Tim Wellington Haciug Club'a Koyal Welcome .Meeting, held at Trentham on Saturday aa an extra fixture, was successful iv all ways, except possibly that the volume of betting was hardly as large as might have been expected from the big crowd in attendance. Many of those who constituted Saturday's crowd were not betting people, but their presence helped materially in building up the intensity of the welcome to the Koyal visitor. The turnover amounted to £33,200 (£15,438 win, £17,762 place) for the seven races, but it undoubtedly waa affected by the success of big outsiders and the early closing down of the machines on tn? two-year-old race. Last Labour Day the investments were £41,395 for eight races, and the best turnover last season was the £43,602 10a on Anniversary Day. The I track was in great order.
