Carter, William Boyle, ■ aged "44, a ' wharf labourer, was fined £1. • ' ■> "This woman, was drunk on Lyall hay beach at l\a.m; on: Sunday; she ran into the sea and ;was pulled out by a sailor," said- Sub-Inspector' C. E. Roach regarding Nancy Cathleen Eltiste, aged 23. a married woman, who wiiS' fined ■£1 for being disorderly while drunk. The Magistrate said that she must take out a. prohibition order, "ilu a plea for leniency Mr. A. B. Sievwright described her action as "n foolish prank."
