TALLOW AND HEMP.
The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated November 17, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London:— Tallow:, Market continues ' quiet with little more business on spot. Values about unchanged. ' ' • Hemp: Manila—Market quiet but steady. Value "X" grade £12 los. Output January 1 to November 12, 1,259,000 bales, against 1,056,000 bales for the same period last j'ear. .Stocks in the United Kingdom at November 1; 28.069 bales, against 5287 bales for last year. Stocks in Manila at November 12, 152,000 bales, against 143,000 bales for last year. Sisal—Market-quiet but firm. November-January shipment sold at £14 Is 3d; and January-March shipment at £14 ss. New Zealand—Nominally unchanged. Stocks in London at November 1, 6 tons,'against 17 tons for last year.
