The Railway Department announces by advertisement in this issue that on Monday tho usual afternoon train to Mastcrtorl will be delayed to leave Wellington at 6 p.m. in order to enable Wairarapa patrons to have an opportunity of seeing the visiting English Sennis champions in action at Miraniar. A birdhouse inafle of tomato soup tins submitted in a national contest by Mrs. Banks -Upgliaw, of Dallas, Texas, won a prize -of £20. After the contest she 'placed an identical birdhouse in her back I yard, • and although moi;6 than a year I passed, no bird ever entered it.
