STAR CLUB'S MISFORTUNE
Shortly before the local season started it was discovered that one of the skids in front of the-Star Boating Club's^ shed was insecure, the two wooden piles having been badly, damaged by borer- and. by theefltect of long immersion. At considerable expense the club putin two concrete piles. It is now found the other skid is in much the same state "as .was the previously repaired : : one and ; the club is faced with more expenditure—probably some. i£so.
