LIST OF MEETINGS

CANADIAN BOYS COMING

The programme is out for the first part of the Wellington season. It pro;vides for Monday evening club meetings on the' Basin Beserve between 6 iand7 o'clock, starting this coming Monday and continuing until December 17.. The first big meeting on the Basin Beserve -will be the Wellington secondary school championships on Saturday next, and this will be followed on Deicember 1 by a meeting at/ which the Canadian schoolboys, at present in Australia, will be the attraction. Arrangements were finalised this week for a short tour of ther North.lsland by the Canadians, and they are to appear, in addition to the Wellington meeting, at Kotorua on, December 4j and at Auckland ori December 8. There is to be an afternoon meeting at Peto'ne on December 8, and the Lower, Hutt Club will be holding a meeting on the Lower Hutt Eecreation Ground; on ;Bo±ing Day. ■■• .'. ■ ■ :•'" . ■• -"■ . So far as the annual competition for the Dewar Shield is concerned, there is talk of holding one meeting at Petono and another at the Hutt, but whatever arrangements are made this contest will not take place, until- after Christmas. The principal championships will, probably ,be decided about., the. >second Saturday *in "February.1 This season it is Canterbury's turn to visit, Wellington for the (Canterbury v. Wellington interprovincial match. ■ No date has yet been decided upon for this fixture.
