FORTHCOMING BALL
ITALIAN SOCIETIES
A number of festivities are being planned for the entertainment of tie captain, officers, and men of the Italian diiser Armando Diaz, which will arrive in Wellington next week. One of the most 'delightful of these will be the ball in honour' of the captain and officers at the Town Hall on Monday, November 19. - „ The preparations for the ball aTe well in hand, ana the best of everything is being secured for the'occasion The services of. an excellent orchestra have been engaged, ana. a special musical programme- is. being arranged, which will include many well^ known Italian tunes A feature of the programme, which shouia particularly interest the visitors, will be a special Maori poi aance, presented Deselected dancers, including Miss Aimam a Hcketa and Miss Katene, with Miss Ana Pomare, at the piano. JNo effort is being spared-over the decorations and furnishings of the hall, and excellent supper arrangements are being maae. ■ . , Tho dance is being orgamsedby the combined Italian, societies of Wellington, under the-patronage oC the Consul for, Italy (Cay.- Dott.
