HUTT VALLEY ROSE SHOW.

The Hiitt Valley Horticultural Society's Koso Show, to be held in King George Theatre, Lower. Hutt, next Wednesday* will be officially opened at 2.45 p.m. by1 his Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, who will be accompanied by Lady Bledisloe. The competition in the rose section has always been keen, and as the season has been favourable the standard of blooms will be of a very high standard. . Special prizes have' been donated for various sections, one feature being a display of roses from the school "gardens. Attractive displays, of calceolarias from Orongorongo, and irises from Waikanae will be Staged. There are several other interesting sections. The theatre will be available the day : prior to th« show to enable exhibitors,to arrange their stands, etc. The show will be open for one day only, from 2 to 10 p.m. The presentation of trophies will take place at 9.30 p.m. Entries close on Tuesday at noon.
