Concrete piles, each abo ut a yard broad, and dove-tailing toy jther, have now been'driven along tho -face of the breastwork beside the Hal bour Board's No. 17 shed. The lasi' piles were being driven today. Woo ]i has been in progress for some tinnci in filling with concrete behind the newly-formed breastwork, and more thai >> a thousand bags of cement have alnj.idy been used. ' 'IT he tops of the piles, which are now in tagged formation, will bo shorn off ami. -tlm reinforcing, iron bars will be beiv-t over to knit' together the solid coin \Toto decking of about 180 ft betwei in the two ferry wharves. It is not expected that tho work will be com pleted for sonic considerable time.
