. A marked increase, in the number, of deaths which occurred last month, as compared with the number in. October, 1933, need cause no alarm, as the figure of 81 in October, 1933, was abnormally low., There were deaths last month. Births show an. increase this year, there having been 186 last .month, as compared with 162 in the corresponding month of the previous year, whilo marriages decreased in.number. There were 111 marriages last month and 121 in October, 1933, 23 and 28 of these totals respectively being marriages by. the Registrar.
