SALVATION ARMY CADETS
Commissions -wore awarded last evemn;,' to nine Salvation Army cadets, who have completed their training in the Army n-aiTison. The ceremony was held in the "Wellington Citadel, Vivian Street, and was led by the acting commissioner and chief secretary o£ the Army in New Zea-1 hind, Colonel A. Orsborn. The following were the cadets commissioned:— Eva M'eKi.inon, appointed probationer lieutenant, to assist at Spreydon; Eva Dixon, probationer lieutenant, to assist at New Brighton; Jenny Glynn (to lidward Murphy' Maternity Hospital, Gisborne); Ivy Krutz (to Women's Industrial Home, Owen Street, Wellington); Lucia Parkinson (to Kensington Street Maternity Hospital, Wellington); Owen Ojnia (to Cecilia Whatman Children's Home, Masterton); Victor Ponninghonse (to Newmarket, Auckland); Ernest . Thomas (to , Pukekohe); Elliot Major (to Upper Hutt). The remaining twentyfive cadets will be commissioned as officers at the conclusion of the training session, early next year.
