(Received October 27, 2 p.m.) '■; MELBOURNE, This Day. The weather is still showery and the tracks soft at Caulfleld. On the course proper Gippsland did ten furlongs in "mm 21sec. Shatter assisted over the last nine furlongs, taking 2miu ssec. , Homer beat Lady Primrose, Sally, and Instep over four furlongs in 52sec. Epigram and Journey's End did six furlongs in Imin 21see. Waikaro and Nightly covered tliree furlongs in 40sec. Queen Helen and Cape Lilock did-a mile in Imin 48soc. At Flemington, on the course, proper, Poter Pan and Sarcherie covered ten furlongs in 2min 19sec, both going nicely. Miramond did three furlongs in 41-}

Arachne galloped six furlongs in Imin 21sec. ■ lolaus and Journal did a mile easily in Imin SGsec. Theo and Sylvandale galloped a mile and a half in evens, the lust three furlongs taking 42scc. Broad Arrow and Verberry galloped ten furlongs in. 2min 20-Asee. Australia Fair covered six furlongs in Imin 24sec. On tho grass Preference and Fine Feathers did tho best five-furlong gallop, taking Imin 3Jsec. Chatham did the best quarter-mile, his time being 24Jsec. Alinura did nine furlongs in 2mm 2sec, going nicely. On the sand Irish Chieftain did five furlongs in Imin 4isec.
