Lord Sclsdon, chairman, and thrco other members of tho special committee sot up to inquire into the development of television and to advise tho Post-master-General on the relative merits of various systems, left England yesterday for New York to investigate television methods in the United States.

It is expected that the committee will report to tho Postmaster-General at about the end of the year.
