RUSSELL—CHAPMAN
St. John's Church, Trentham, was prettily decorated by friends of the bride for the wedding of Doris Amy Ethel, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H W. Chapman, Upper Hutt, and Eaymond Biehard, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. \V. Bussell, Haveloek North. The ceremony was performed by the Bey. V. G. Kendrick, and Mr. Josland presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown of ivory wind-swept velvet, cut on classical lines, her embroidered veil was worn cap fashion with a wreath of orange blossom finished with a tulle frilling at the back of the neck. She carried a shower bouquet of tulips, lily of the valley, orange blossom, and white lilac, lhe bridesmaid, Miss Hilda Chapman, sister of the bride, wore powder blue satin, cut on classical lines, with hat to tone. Her bouquet was in shades of Dlue and lemon. Little Joy Mitchell, cousin ot the bridegroom, was flower girl, wearing a frock of primrose satin with laeo hat and carrying a pretty posy of lemon and blue flowers. _ The best man was Mr. Fred Eussell, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was held in the Druids Hall, about 100 guests being present. Mrs Chapman and Mrs. Bussell received the guests, Mrs. Chapman wearing a navy blue marocain ensemble -trimmed with white, hat to tone, and carrying a posy of contrasting colours. Mrs. Bussell wore a bright navy silk frock, trinr ined with pink, hat to tone, and carried, a posy of contrasting shades. ■ The bride and bridegroom left for the south, the bride wearing a wine-coloured ensemble and wine hat to match. TheiT future home will be in Upper Hutt.
