ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT.

F.C. Lindop.—lt is stated that the remains may be those of the twinscrew steamer Waitangi, 192 tons gross, wrecked at Patca in 1923. The Waitangi was built in 1889 at Granßemouth, England. Her length was 120 ft. She was owned by the Patea Farmers' Co-operative' Freezing Co., Only a small portion, if any, of the vessel remains.
