MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Police and summons cases in the Magistrate's Court today were dealt with by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M.
For procuring a firearm without a permit, Hyman Hunt was convicted and ordered to pay costs. A similar penalty was imposed upon Ernest Francis Osbourne Gordon, Robert Watson, and Raymond Luffar Webley for delivering a firearm t<> a person without a permit.
A fine of £1 was imposed upon Arthur Duke Stevens for using indecent language in a Irani.
For operating an unlicensed radio set two defendants were each fined 30s.
Henry Anderson, a second-hand dealer,' was lined £2 for purchasing second-hand pood? from ;i person apparently under the age of 10 years.
C. W. Price and Co. will sell furniture, a carpet, a sowing machine, and sundries on tho promises, 116 Main Road, Eastbonmo, at 1.30 p.m. tomorrow.
