HUTT PARK NOTES

(By "The Eagle.")

Everything is now in perfect order for the Cup Trial Meeting at Hutt Park, and a continuance of fiuo weather will mean a. bumper attendance of the public. Arrivals from tho south by yesterday morning's boat were Triangle, Rongomai, and Compass, in charge of j. Frasev. The fourth member of this team, Mountain Dell, was booked to arrive by this morning's boat. Another early arrival for the meeting wag the ..Hope trainer L. Berkett, with the trotter Welcome Guy and tho paccrw Wrackless and Plain Pearl. The latter joined Berkett's team after the September Meeting at Hutt Park, and appears to have made good progress in the interval. The outside of the course proper again provided perfect going for fast work yesterday morning. • Glenrossie had Purser and Lord Wrack as companions over a, mile and a half. The Cup Trial candidate had the best of the bout and gave a much better Ehowiug than ou Tuesday, when he was worked free-legged. Purser is not engaged at Wellington, but has been entered for events at tho big meeting at Addington. All Worthy and Flintlock gave a good display over a mile and a quarter. Super Tax, driven by J. Fraser, Peter's Fault (Walters), and Plain Pearl (Berkett) had a bout over 1% miles. . Plain Pearl gave the other pair a couple of lengths' start and finished up with a slight advantage, giving a taking display. Guy Zolock appeared to have tho better of Logan's Pride over a mile and a half task. The trotter Guy o' Mine had First Judge as a mate over a mile and a half. Guy o' Mine made a much better showing than on Tuesday morning, when he was rather disappointing. L. Berkett gave Welcome Guy steady work over two miles, and also gave Wrackless a solo task. Cracker, driven by her owner, worked freely over a mile and a half alone. » * # * .1. Fraser gave each of his newly-arrived train steady tasks separately.
