BRITISH SAILORS' SOCIETY

A most enjoyable entertainment was presented at the rooms of tho British Sailors' Society on Wednesday to a very largo and enthusiastic audience of seamen and friends. The programme was arranged by Miss Joan Harris, and consisted of pianoforte solo*?, elocutionary aud dancing items, recitations, mandolin and banjo solos, vocal eolos and duets, and concluded with a community sing. The performers had to respond frequently to encores. Items wera contributed by Mesdanu's Edmondson and •Bramloy, Mi?Bes Phillips, Meta Mc'Kenna, Judy Cooper, Ksme Crow, Beta Warner, Valeric Humble, Messrs. Wilson, Edmondson, Joss, Jack Ham?, Keith Woollett, B. Green, Lloyd, and Bramloy. Mis. Edmondson was the accompanist. At the conclusion a vote of thanks to Mies Harris and party was carried with acclamation, supper was served, and the evening was brought to close with the National Anthem. .
