'I'lir death occurred today of Mr. William Agate Warwick, a well-known and respected Wellington resident. Born in. Wellington Go years ago, the late Mr. Warwick was educated at tho Ncwtown .School, being one of the first-day scholars enrolled. At tho school's recent jubileo celebrations Mr. Warwick, through illness, was unable to answer the roll-call of first-day scholars, though others of the Warwick family were able to j>artieipatc in the jubilee. For many .years until affected by ill health tho late Mr. William Warwick was in business in Wellington, and at one time ho took a prominent part in lodge affairs as a Forester. By those with whom ho came into touch in.-business and sports circles, as well as in private life, he was greatly esteemed. He and two of his brothers in their youngor days played with the Melrose Rugby Football Club, and his three brothers residing in Wellington (Albert, Louis, and Benjamin) still keep the family name prominent in various branches of sport, Albert and Louis being prominent bowlers and Ben being keenly devoted to Rugby football and cricket. Another brother is Mr. George Warwick, of Dunedin, and (here aro two sisters—Mrs. Hutching* (Island Bay) and Miss Warwick (of the Wellington Hospital staff).
