A, E. GUY CHAMPION The winner of the Manawatu Golf Club's annual open tournament yesterday was A. E. Guy/who defeated a fine golfer, L. Seifert, jun., in tho semi-final, and Kuru in the final. He was 1 under 4's going out against Seifert, with a 6 in it, to stand 2 up. Short approaches lost Seifert strokes on the return, and Guy won 5 and 4. ' Kuru won all the way from Louisson in the other semi-final. Guy was 3 up at the turn on Kuru in the final, and won 6.and 4. OTHER EVENTS. Hokowhitu Handicap—Semi-finals; Taylor beat F. R. Hegarty, 1 up; Honeyfield beat Marsack, 1 up at the twenty : sccond. Final: Taylor beat Honeyfield, 2 and 1. Consolation.—Semi-finals: Maule beat Siddells, 2 and 1; Keillcr beat Seeker, 1 up at the twentieth. Pinal: Maule beat Keillor, 1 up.' 'Manawatu Plate—Semi-finals: McGregor beat Amon; Daniell beat Murray. Final: McGregor beat Daniell, 3 and 2.
