An intense anticyclone still extends over the Tasman Sea and New Zealand and the weather has remained fine and mild in nearly all parts nl the country with light to moderate and variable winds. A slight low-pressure wave passing to tho southwards, however, has been responsible for showers in the far south and at a few Isolated places on tlie west coast.
