"TOTE" LEEWAY RECOVERED
The Wellington Pacing Club's Spring Meeting was concluded at Trentham yesterday in fine, lightly-overcast weather, with the temperature enjoyably mild aud an absence of wind. The track, while still dead, was faster than on the opening day. The attendance was excellent. The totalisator investments for the day amounted to £41,395 (£18,505 win, £22,890 place) as against £38,3-16 10s (£16,279 10s win, £22,067 place) on Labour Day last year, making a total of £62,652 10s for the two days, compared with £62,299 10s on the corresponding two days of litst year's threeday meeting, an increase of £353 for tho meeting.
