TAILORED SUITS POPULAR
The weather and tho holiday attracted a very largo crowd to Trentham yesterday for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club's Spring Meeting, and a more perfect day for races would bo hard to imagine
The fine weather encouraged many to wear lighter frocks and brighter colours than on Saturday, but for the main part tweeds and tailored suits remained the popular choice, and navy blue was tho prevailing colour among the crowd.
Guests of the acting president (Mr. C. W. Tringham) and Mrs. Tringham at lunch included the Rt. Hon, J. G. Coates, Mrs.' Coates, and Miss Coates, the Hon. Sir Walter arneross, the Hon. R. and Mrs. Masters, the Hon. C. E. and Mrs. Maemillan, Sir Heaton Rhodes; Sir Henry -and Lady Buckleton aud Miss Buckleton, Mr. and Mrs. T. Lowry, Mr. J. Bull, Mr. T. Duncan, Mr. O. S. Watkins, Mr. H. S. Elworthy, Mr. and Mrs. W. Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Hamilton, Mr.' and Mrs. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Reid, Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Peacock, and Mr. and Mrs. Sinclair Thompson.

Wood, navy costume and navy and white hat; Mrs. 11. P. P. Blundell, black fur-trimmed coat and black hat with touches of pink; Mrs. Lan Tringham, navy and grey ensemble and navy straw hat; Mrs. A. St. A. Alcoek, navy frock, navy and white hat, and silver fox furs; Mrs. T. E. Y. Seddqu, navy coat with fur-edgod cape collar and navy hat; Mrs. Prank Hay, black tailored costume, - spotted scarf, and black hat; Mrs. George Mills, grey suit with.w'hito blouse and hat; Mrs. Vincent Ward, light blue coat and skirt, white hat; Mrs. C. Richardson, black costume, floral silk blouse, black hat; Mrs. J. Parker, navy coat and hat; Mrs. Murray Litchfield, black coat and hat; Mrs. Ernest Blundell, brown tailored suit and brown hat;, Mrs. W. E.
