SHANDON LADIES' CLUB

The Shandon Ladies' Club held a successful open day yesterday, when visitors were present from the Hutt, Miramar, Titahi, Hawera, and Shandon Midweek Clubs.

A medal round was played in the morning. Mrs. Burke, 97, 18—79, and Miss E. Smith, 100, 21—79, tied, but on a recount over the last nine holes Mrs. Burke was the winner. Other scorers wero: Miss Petrie (Miramarl, SO, 0-80: Mrs. Clemens, 96, 16—SO.

In the afternoon medal foursomes were played, the winners being Mrs. Bishop and Mrs. Richards, 98, 20—78. Next came Mrs. Burke and Miss Sidford, 84 net.

At tho conclusion of the play. Miss Pownall, the Shandon Ladies' Club captain, presented the trophies.
