.For Labour Day the weather was beautifully line, 'and outdoor sports were h-c!1 patronised. The Holland memorial procession and a sports gathering were the main events.

A lengthy and interesting sports. programme was covered, tho outstanding features being putting the shot by G. lilumhardt, 39ft 4in, and a javelin throw by the same competitor, 12ft 4in. A. Caldwell, from scratch, won the half-mile cvclin" race, W. Watt the mile, while J. Hill won the 75yds and 200 yds flat and the 120 yds hurdles.
