The annual meeting of the Nel.-on Harmonic Society elected the following officers:—President, Professor Easterlies; vice-presidents, Miss J. Stewart and Mr. C. 11. Broad; committee, Messrs. B. Dalglish, P. 0. Gibbs, .1. G. McKay, E. B. Jackson, T. Taylor, E. A. Wood, and Dr. Rose limes; hon. secretary, Mr. P. G. Gibbs; assistant secretary," Mr. E. A. Wood; hon. auditor, Mr* P. Mitchell.
Mr. I. C Neale litis passed his examination for entrance to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The Nelson Aero Club, in U.- monthly notes, extends 'be club's heartiest congratulations to (he club's ii-st R.N.Z.A.F. entrant. A team from the Nelson Fire Brigade under Superintendent Bennett., c.im petcd at Westport today for the Labour Day demonstration which was run in connector, with a big sports meeting. The Westport, Denniston, Gravity, and Rcefton brigades took part.
