The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated October 20, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Tallow.—Market firm with values about, unchanged. . , . , . Hemp.—Manila: Market quiet but steady. Values about unchanged. Output from January 1 to Octobor 15, 1,162,000 bales, against 958,000 bales for the same period last year. Stocks in the United Kingdom on October 1, 29.509 bales, against 0684 bales at the same time last year. Stocks iv Manila on October 15, 172,000 bales against 153,000 bales for last year. Sisal: Market quiet and easier. Sellers quote £13 12s Cd for October-December shipment. New Zealand: No first-hand, sales reported. Values nominally unchanged. Stocks in London on October 1, 6 tons, against 44 tons for the previous year.
