SYDNEY WOOL SALES

SYDNEY, October 22,
At the wool sales today 11,177 bales were offered, of which 9909 were sold at auction, also 1490 bales were sold The market ruled firm at the closing rates of last week for all average to good ileece and skirtings, but was irregular for very faulty fleece and skirtings. Japanese, Yorkshire, and Continental buyers were the chief operators. Greasy merino made 15d for eleven bales from Warialda.
The average price of the wool sold at last week's auctions at Sydney was £12 6s 2d a bale, or 9.3d per lb.
