IMPORTANT BILLS
INTRODUCTION NEXT WEEK
Next week will see a number of important Bills introduced in tho House of Representatives, it being tho intention of the Government to get as much of its legislative programme circulated as possible in view of the anticipated adjournment about tho end of the month.
Besides the emergency dairy legislation, there will be an Unemployment Amendment Bill giving legislative effect to the Budget proposal to exempt youths under the ago of twenty years from wago tax, a motor traffic control measuro which will establish speed limits for tho whole Dominion, a Finance Bill, and possibly a "washingup" Bill. It is expected that the report of tho Native Affairs Commission will be handed to his Excellency the Administrator (Sir Michael Myers) tomorrow, and this will probably come into the possession of the Government on Monday. The date of its presentation to the House has not yet been decided, but it is almost certain to come down next week. The final report of the Companies' Commission is also to be presented within a few days, and it is understood that this will include some important suggestions for the better control of investment and interlocked concerns. Legislation will bo drafted incorporating some of tho recommendations of tho Commission.
